Supported browsers¶
After this page you know which features work in your browser and when you need a computer and a cable.
What works in any up-to-date browser¶
- Writing code and drawing art in the studio.
- Trying apps in the emulator, a copy of the device that runs in your browser.
- Using the code generator on the Generate tab.
- Sharing your work and browsing The Archives.
- Sending app changes over WiFi to a linked Fidget.
What needs a computer and a cable¶
Connecting with a cable works from a computer with Chrome, Edge or Firefox. These features need a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection from the browser:
- Installing firmware, the device's built-in software, from the website update page. This includes Erase everything and reinstall.
- Using Send to my Fidget over USB in the studio.
- First-time setup by cable on My Fidget.
- Setting up WiFi over USB.
Connecting your Cyber Fidget over USB from an Android phone may not work, even when the browser says it can. On a phone, use the WiFi route instead.
Check this browser¶
This box asks your browser right now. Press Check again to repeat it.
If USB isn't available¶
If your browser can't connect over USB, the page tells you and offers the WiFi route. The update page hides the install steps and disables Install update.
On the Fidget, open Settings > Setup WiFi. Then link your Fidget to your account. Link your Fidget walks through the steps. App changes arrive over WiFi at its next check-in; see Updates.
Installing firmware from the website needs the cable.
